Hair straightening is a hair styling technique used to transform unmanageable frizzy hair into a smooth, manageable hair with sleek look.
Straightening became popular in 50s of last century among women and men. It can be temporary achieved with use of some conditioners, gels and other temporary hair smoothing products available at our shop. The longer results can be accomplished by using a hair iron or comb with combination of chemical relaxes and blow dryer styling.
Straightening without any chemical treatment
Yes it can be achieved but it will be only temporary solution until contact with water (like washing, rain or moisture in air). We may suggest to use flat irons of different shapes or use blow dryer with a special comb attachment or round brush to straighten your hair.
Permanent Straightening
Currently we offer Keratin Straightening Treatments and Japanese Straightening. During the Japanese straightening Figaro Salon professional licensed stylist will saturate the hair with the solution which breaks down the natural hair bonds and will ensure that the solution is carefully applied through the lengths of the hair strands and left to work in to the hair. It will then be carefully and fully rinsed out, dried with a hair dryer and straightened carefully and meticulously with ceramic straightening irons.
A neutralizer is added to finish and hold the treatment in place. It can take up to six hours on the first visit and up to four hours for touch ups ( re grown ), depending on your hair length.
Should I consider Keratin Straightening?
Keratin Treatments are specially formulated to contain natural keratin protein, which rebuilds, restores and rejuvenates all types of hair.
It suits all hair types, damaged and previously treated. Special at home use hair care products (sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner) are required for longer lasting results.
Currently we offer Brazilian Blow out and Kerasilk Keratin smoothing treatments which both contain keratin protein.
You should not wash your hair for 48 hours after permanent straightening done at Figaro salon and then you can keep your straightening and curling irons away for a while as the hair does not need straightening and will not take curls. It is very low maintenance on a daily basis, which is perfect if you are prone to wanting a few extra minutes in bed and rushing to leave the house in the morning or before heading out for the evening!
